Vandals or Visionaries? Response


I resonate a lot with the way this article discusses street art. I agree with the idea that ethics should be considered in the aesthetic value of street art, as it is described in the article that in order to be street art, it has to be in conversation with the street. That means that what may be considered a poor ethical decision was taken into account and was a necessary choice for the piece to take on its full meaning and purpose, it would lose its value in a museum or a better environment.
The illegality or controversial position of a piece of street art does not necessarily negatively affect its value, however, but it is important in its consideration as a piece.
